SF Prologue Wave is a webzine that welcomes contributions from writers beyond linguistic and national boundaries.
This time, we are pleased to introduce “Liquid Cristal” by a Cuban author, submitted to SF Prologue Wave. One day, as María Carla is on her way to proctor an exam at her university, two mysterious figures suddenly appear before her, expressing an intense interest in the science-fiction story she has written.
The work is available in both English and Spanish. For this publication, we are first presenting the English version in PDF format.

Author Biography
Gretchen Kerr Anderson (September 30th, 1998) is a Cuban narrator, poet, and editor. She holds a Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages from the University of Holguín (UHO) and a Master’s in Foreign Language Teaching from the University of Pedagogical Sciences in Havana. A member of the Asociación Hermanos Saíz, she is the founder and editor of El Babujal, a Cuban magazine specializing in fantasy, science fiction, and horror literature.
Her literary career includes the awards: Second Prize in the National Narrative Contest Cuentos Fríos (Cárdenas, 2018); Winner of the III Publication Contest of Bolivian digital magazine Novum (UBIK-USB University, 2020); Special Mention in the National Literature Contest Ernest Hemingway (2025); Honorable Mention in Narrative at the Óscar Hurtado Science Fiction Contest (2025); Third Prize in the National Erotic Literature Contest Farraluque (2024).
Her work has been published extensively in international magazines and anthologies.

グレッチェン・カー・アンダーソン（1998年9月30日生まれ）は、キューバの作家、詩人、編集者。ホルギン大学（UHO）で外国語学の学士号、ハバナにある教育科学大学（Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas Enrique José Varona）で外国語教育の修士号を取得。アソシアシオン・エルマノス・サイスのメンバーであり、ファンタジー・SF・ホラーを扱うキューバの文芸誌「El Babujal（湿地帯）」の創設者であり編集者でもあります。
彼女の文学上の経歴には、以下の受賞歴があります。全国小説コンテスト「Cuentos Fríos（冷たい物語）」（カルデナス、2018年）で2位を受賞。ボリビアのデジタル雑誌『Novum（ノヴム』主催第3回出版コンテスト（UBIK-USB大学、2020年）正賞；全国文学コンテストであるアーネスト・ヘミングウェイ賞（2025年）特別賞；オスカル・ウルタドSFコンテスト（2025年）小説部門佳作；全国官能文学コンテスト「 Farraluque（ファラルケ）」（2024年）3位。
